The Spokesperson for Apostle Kwadwo Safo’s family, Dr Emmanuel Boakye has alleged that the shooting incident involving Sarah Adwoa Safo was a calculated attack intended to end her life. He stated that the events surrounding the incident point to a coordinated operation that went far beyond a spontaneous confrontation.
Discussing the incident, Dr Boakye described the family’s reaction as one of intense shock following the gunfire. He said siblings and close relatives struggled to comprehend how such violence could erupt within a family setting, especially under circumstances involving long standing relationships.

Dr Boakye further indicated that the scale and direction of the shooting suggested a deliberate objective. He explained that the volume of bullets fired and the precision with which the shots were directed raised serious questions about the intentions of those involved.
“This was not an attempt to scare anyone. The intention was clear from the pattern of the shooting. What happened points to a mission to kill. They just wanted to shoot and then kill. Not to hurt the person, but to eliminate the person from this earth that we live on.” Dr Emmanuel Boakye
He also claimed that gunmen specifically targeted Adwoa Safo’s vehicle alleging that close to 48 bullets struck the vehicle with several passing through the windows aiming at Adwoa. He added that the vehicle is currently at the Atomic Police Station as part of ongoing investigations.

Additionally, the family spokesperson named Kwasi Agyei as an individual allegedly captured in circulating videos issuing instructions during the attack. He claimed Kwasi Agyei, whom he described as an employee at the Kristo Asafo head office, was heard directing the shooters during the incident.
A key aspect of Dr Boakye’s account was on claims of prior planning. He alleged that several armed men arrived at the scene in the early hours of the day, suggesting preparations had been made long before the shooting occurred. He stated that some individuals involved were employees of KPS while others appeared to have joined specifically for the operation.
Moreover, Dr Boakye argued that police investigations would be crucial in determining those who orchestrated the attack. He stated that law enforcement authorities are best placed to establish command responsibility and uncover the full chain of events.

Spokesperson Links Incident To Church Leadership Ceremony
Dr Emmanuel Boakye indicated that a court injunction was issued before the ceremony, prompting attempts to serve church leaders across Accra.
Addressing the background, Dr Boakye explained that efforts to enforce the injunction initially focused on a known venue in Kwabenya. He stated that police officers from the Kwabenya Police Station were informed and deployed to monitor the area in anticipation of possible developments.
According to his account, organisers later changed the venue after learning of the police presence. He said this sudden relocation altered the situation significantly and created the circumstances that led to Adwoa Safo’s arrival at the eventual location.
“Once the venue changed, everything shifted. She went there to verify events and alert the police. Gunfire followed almost immediately.” Dr Emmanuel Boakye
He also alleged that Adwoa Safo’s brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, whose installation triggered the gathering. Dr Boakye stated that investigators should examine all claims thoroughly, especially competing narratives that have emerged since the incident. He added that forensic analysis and witness testimony will be central to establishing the truth.

On Adwoa Safo’s medical condition following the shooting, Dr Boakye disclosed that she is responding positively to treatment after initially enduring severe trauma from the ordeal. He noted that her condition improved noticeably between the first day and the time of his visit.
Furthermore, the spokesperson spoke on the emotional burden the dispute has placed on the family. He reflected on the values instilled by Apostle Kwadwo Safo, saying the present divisions stand in sharp contrast to the unity he once nurtured.
Against this backdrop, Dr Boakye called for calm while investigations continue. He emphasised that the truth surrounding the shooting must emerge through lawful inquiry, adding that the family is focused on justice and healing.
