EPL: Fatawu Issahaku impresses in big Ipswich Town win

Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku made his debut with English Premier League side Ipswich Town in a brilliant start to life for Ipswich on the club’s return to the elite division.

The Black Stars player started the game that had Ipswich Town score a 2-1 win over Sunderland with Jack Clarke scoring the winner in the 90th minute.


Issahaku, who joined Ipswich from then EFL Championship side Leicester City this offseason, played 66 minutes in the contest.

The 22 year old impressed in his first game for Ipswich by completing six of 11 passes accurately while successfully completing all three attempted dribbles in the game.

On the defensive side, Issahaku put in a decent shift by making five defensive contributions, won two of four tackles and won 10 of 16 ground duels.

He was replaced by Kasey McAteer and is in line to feature in Ipswich Town’s clash against his former team Leicester in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, August 25.
