RB Leipzig’s board have approved the sale of highly rated forward Yan Diomande to Real Madrid in a deal worth an initial €125 million plus €15 million in add-ons. The German club has also given the player permission to travel for his medical examinations ahead of completing the transfer.

The guaranteed fee is €125 million, with realistic performance-related add-ons expected to push the package to around €135 million and potentially up to €140 million if more ambitious targets are met. Diomande is now expected to undergo his medical in Spain before signing a long-term contract, with some reports suggesting a deal valid until 2031. Once the medical is passed and the final paperwork is completed, Real Madrid will officially announce what is set to be one of the biggest transfers of the summer.
