It was a night of glitz and glamour as Ghanaian music icon Okyeame Kwame marked his 50th birthday in grand style.
The star-studded celebration, held on Saturday, April 18, at +233 Jazz Bar & Grill in Accra, was hosted by Channel One TV and ran from 9 p.m. into the early hours of Sunday.
An elated Okyeame Kwame thrilled patrons with back-to-back performances of some of his hit songs, including Clap, Woso, Sika, Faithful, Small Small, Kokoko, Mere Twen Wo, Woara, Odo Wohe, Try Another and One in a Million, among others. He also shared the stage with Frema Adunyame, Head of Events and Partnerships at Channel One TV and Citi FM, and performed alongside several guest artistes.
He later cut his birthday cake in the company of his family, management of Channel One TV/Citi FM, and other prominent personalities in attendance.
Several top artistes, including Kwame Eugene, KiDi, Sista Afia, Afriyie Wutah, Kwabena Kwabena, Kweku Darlington, Abiana, Akwaboah, Abochi, Bradez (Kuntakinte), Ras Kuuku, Adina and Andy Dosty, delivered electrifying performances in honour of the celebrated musician.

A highlight of the night was Okyeame Kwame sharing the stage with Bice Osei Kuffour, the former Managing Director of Ghana Post, popularly known as Obour, to perform their hit song Kokontiba.
Dignitaries in attendance included media personality KKD, among others.
Proceeds from the celebration will go towards the construction of a paediatric emergency centre in Kumasi, a project aimed at improving child healthcare delivery.
Over the years, Okyeame Kwame has remained a strong advocate of Ghanaian culture and identity, incorporating indigenous languages such as Akan into his music, promoting the “Made in Ghana” agenda, and representing the country on global arts and tourism platforms.
