A senior member of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), PV Jantuah Dadson has urged party communicators to stop referencing the previous administration, saying the focus should be on delivering results rather than revisiting past governance failures.
Dadson said continued references to former President Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration risk undermining public confidence in the current government’s ability to govern effectively.
“It makes no sense to refer to Nana Akufo-Addo’s regime after we have received a clear mandate from Ghanaians. Ghanaians saw what they didn’t like and voted overwhelmingly against the NPP,” he wrote on Facebook.
“Our goal is to ensure Ghanaians’ satisfaction. If we (the NDC) continue to refer to and re-echo the problems, it is a sign that we are incapable of doing the job.”

Dadson added that the NDC has made progress in its first 16 months in office and should now concentrate on governance delivery.
“We (the NDC) have done well in 16 months and have the potential to do even better. Let’s focus,” he said.
His comments come amid ongoing political debate in Ghana over economic conditions, public sector performance, and comparisons between the current administration and the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) government led by Akufo-Addo.
The remarks also reflect growing internal calls within the governing party for tighter messaging discipline as it seeks to consolidate public support.
