Head coach of the Miami Heat, Erik Spoelstra, says his team has nothing to be ashamed of after missing the NBA playoffs.
The Heat lost 127-126 in overtime to the Charlotte Hornets in a thrilling encounter that eliminated Miami from contending for a place in the Playoffs via the Play-In Tournament.
Charlotte, on the other hand, have qualified to the next round of the Play-In Tournament, where a win qualifies the team to the playoffs.
Miami lost All-Star center Bam Adebayo in the second quarter after he suffered a heavy fall and Spoelstra indicated that his team can be proud of their game winning-worthy efforts in the loss.

“There’s nothing to be ashamed of with our locker room.”

“What you want is, you want to feel like you’re worthy to win and I think our guys felt like they were worthy to win tonight.”

“We just didn’t win the game, and that can happen as well. That’s what we’ll have to live with in the offseason” Spoelstra said.
