The National Sports College (NSC) has officially commenced the renovation of four tennis courts as part of ongoing efforts to transform the College into a centre of sports excellence under the leadership of Director Bawah Fuseini.

A handing-over and site-possession ceremony was held to formally mark the commencement of the project and pave the way for renovation works to begin.

The initiative forms the first phase of a broader renovation programme aimed at upgrading the College’s sporting infrastructure and creating a modern and conducive environment for sports development, training and competition.

The renovation of the four tennis courts is expected to improve the facilities available to athletes, students and coaches while supporting the College’s commitment to quality sports training and talent development.

The project also forms part of the administration’s broader vision to strengthen the College’s role as a leading institution for sports development and excellence. Through continued investment in sporting facilities, the College seeks to create an environment that supports athlete preparation, encourages participation and promotes the growth of various sporting disciplines.

As renovation works get underway, all tennis training activities at the affected courts have been suspended until further notice. The College will provide further updates when the courts are ready for use and training activities can resume.

The temporary suspension is intended to facilitate the renovation works and ensure the project progresses smoothly and safely.

Upon completion, the upgraded tennis facilities are expected to serve athletes, students, coaches and the wider sporting community, creating renewed opportunities for tennis development, training and competition.

The National Sports College remains committed to the successful completion of this first phase as it continues to pursue its vision of becoming a centre of sports excellence.
