Day One opens with powerful preaching, worship and thanksgiving as MPMI reflects on 30 years of faith, service and impact
Maranatha Power Ministries International (MPMI) has launched its 30th anniversary celebration with a powerful opening day of worship, preaching and thanksgiving, as pastors, ministers and members gathered to celebrate three decades of God’s goodness and faithfulness.
The opening ceremony brought together church leaders, ministers and members in an atmosphere of praise and gratitude, with the congregation reflecting on MPMI’s journey and the impact of the ministry over the past 30 years.
The celebration featured powerful messages from Pastor Joe and his wife, Mama Cherry; Rev. Mrs. Valarie Afotey Odai; Dr. Skip Nichols; and MPMI Founder and Leader, Bishop Noble Francis Afotey Odai.
The ministers used the occasion to reflect on the ministry’s beginnings, its growth and the faithfulness of God in sustaining the work through three decades.
They urged members to remain committed to God and continue to uphold the values and vision upon which the ministry was established.
For the ministers, the 30th anniversary is not simply a celebration of history but a launching pad for a new season of greater impact and spiritual growth.
The messages were complemented by energetic praise and worship, with members singing, dancing and offering thanksgiving to God for bringing the ministry this far.
The atmosphere of celebration was also marked by testimonies and moments of reflection, as members acknowledged the role MPMI has played in their spiritual journeys and the wider community.

For the congregation, Day One was a moment to remember the beginning, celebrate the journey and look ahead with renewed faith.
The anniversary is being held under the theme:
“THE IMPACT OF GOD’S GOODNESS AND FAITHFULNESS”
The theme reflects the central message of the celebration — recognising what God has done over the past three decades while looking forward to what lies ahead.
As the anniversary activities continue, MPMI is expected to host a series of programmes featuring preaching, worship, prayer, fellowship and other activities designed to commemorate the milestone and strengthen the faith of members.
The successful opening has set the tone for a week of celebration, reflection and thanksgiving.
After 30 years, the message from MPMI remains clear: the journey has been sustained by God’s goodness and faithfulness — and the story is far from over.
