President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Brazzaville, Congo, to participate in the official investiture of Denis Sassou N’Guesso, who has been re-elected to serve another five-year term as president of the Republic of the Congo.
Mahama’s trip comes shortly after he launched his flagship Free Primary Healthcare Programme in Dodowa on Wednesday, April 15.

The president is expected to join several African heads of state and high-level dignitaries at Thursday morning’s ceremony, which marks the formal commencement of President Sassou N’Guesso’s new mandate.
The visit also reinforces Ghana’s commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral ties within Africa, particularly with Central African states.
Mahama is scheduled to depart Brazzaville and return to Accra later today.
