Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach Eric Tinkler says the team is primed to excel in the upcoming season.
He said this in an interview with Kotoko media after he was recently appointed as head coach of the Porcupine Warriors.
Tinkler takes over the Ghanaian giants that finished eighth in the Ghana Premier League standings in the 2025-2026 season and run through three head coaches.
Former Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United head coach Tinkler played for South Africa at the 1998 FIFA World Cup and was part of the Bafana Bafana team that won the 1996 AFCON.

“This season, with our planning, with our preparation, with our professionalism, good work ethic, nothing stops us from achieving our goals, only ourselves. The legacy I want to leave behind is obviously we make this not a sleeping giant but a live giant.”

“Coming to the club, I know the pressure that is obviously going to be under me because we need to achieve, we need to win, we need to get this club back where it belongs.”

The 2026-2027 Ghana Premier League season commences in September.
