On behalf of the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana, its registrar, Dr. Divine N. Banyubala has announced the upcoming 28th Annual Conference of Association of Medical Councils of Africa scheduled for 23rd-27th August, 2026, in Accra.
The announcement was made during a press briefing at the Council’s newly inaugurated secretariat located at Pantang.
He made known, some of the stakeholder agencies that are expected to attend. They include health practitioners from the length and breadth of Africa and other continents as well.

The honorable Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh is said to led in hosting the historic event with the President of the Republic, H. E. John Dramani Mahama and the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin gracing the occasion, the register alerted.
Announcing Ghana’s readiness to host health professionals from Africa and the wider world, Dr. Banyubala asked the media to help do the needed hype. He notes over 350 participants are expected to attend and as Ghana is more than ready to welcome them, they can also not afford missing the opportunity for pending lifetime experience. He said the event shall as well showcase rich African culture.
The event is slated to take place at the Movenpick Hotel, Accra.
