Asante Kotoko head coach Eric Tinkler says the club could make more surprise signings ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
Tinkler made the comments during the club’s pre-season preparations as Kotoko step up their build-up to the new campaign, which begins in September. Kotoko will open their season against league debutants Debibi United on September 5.

Tinkler took charge earlier this off-season after Kotoko went through several coaching changes last season before finishing eighth in the league.
“We have now completed the signings that we feel we need to strengthen the squad. What you should expect is obviously there is going to be a number of changes in terms of the squad.”

“We’ve moved a number of players out that we just felt…So [there are] a lot of new faces, a lot of foreign based players that come with a lot of experience as well which I think is all very important. Well, there’s one or two surprises still coming” Tinkler said.
