The Ministry of Health has announced plans to begin a nationwide recruitment of health professionals from April 16, 2026, following the approval of financial clearance to support the exercise.
In a press release issued on April 2, the Ministry’s Spokesperson, Tony Goodman, stated that the recruitment will be conducted across the country at the district level, based on verified staffing gaps within health facilities.
According to the Ministry, the process will be decentralised, competitive, and transparent, with selections guided by an approved quota system covering all professional categories and year groups. It added that all recruitment will be carried out within approved budgetary limits.
