The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam has underlined the need for pastors to show utmost loyalty to God and their churches at all times.
He said loyalty is the currency of development. And this should not be compromised under any circumstances.
Rev Wengam was speaking at a three-day prayer retreat for the re-elected and newly elected Executive Presbytery Officers of Assemblies of God, Ghana, at the Cedar Mountain Chapel, East Legon in Accra.
Rev. Stephen Wengam was retained as General Superintendent with about 90% of the votes. The other officers are Rev. Kwadwo Boateng Bempah, Assistant General Superintendent-elect; Rev. Albert Anane, General Secretary-elect; and Rev. Simon Abu Baba, General Treasurer.
During the retreat, the leadership prayed for a minimum of four hours daily and deliberated on the second phase of the Transformation Agenda of Assemblies of God, Ghana and the vision of the new Executive Presbytery.

Speaking on “The Role of Loyalty in Organizational Development,” Rev Wengam admonished the church leaders to show by deeds their loyalty to God, to the Church, and to leadership, stressing that loyalty is essential to building a healthy organization.
Participants described the retreat as refreshing, equipping, and relevant.
The prayer retreat preceded the handing-over ceremony scheduled for Friday, 18th September, 2026, at the Assemblies of God Headquarters at Osu, Accra.
Also in attendance were Lady Mrs Monica Wengam, National President of the Ministers Wives Association, Lady Pastor Mrs. Patience Bempah, National Vice President-elect; Rev. Mrs. Gladys Abu Baba, National Treasurer; and Rev. Mrs. Linda Anane, National Secretary-elect.
