Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, has been drawn into Group L of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, alongside football powerhouses England and Croatia, as well as Panama.
The group stage fixtures are as follows:
- Ghana vs. Panama: June 17, 2026
- England vs. Ghana: June 23, 2026
- Croatia vs. Ghana: June 27, 2026
The Black Stars, led by coach Otto Addo, will be looking to make a mark in the tournament after early exits in 2014 and 2022. Ghana’s key players include Mohammed Kudus (Tottenham), Inaki Williams (Athletic Club), and Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth).
The Black Stars will begin their campaign against Panama on June 17, 2026, in Dallas, USA. This will be Ghana’s fifth appearance at the World Cup, and they will be looking to make a deep run in the tournament.
England, managed by Thomas Tuchel, is one of the favorites to win the tournament, having won all eight of their qualifying matches without conceding a goal. Croatia, led by Zlatko Dalic, will be looking for revenge after losing to France in the 2022 World Cup final.
The 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, featuring an expanded 48-team format. The top two teams from each group will automatically qualify for the knockout stage, with four of the best third-placed teams also advancing.
