The Ghana Football Association (GFA) plans to name a new Black Stars head coach within one to two weeks, President Kurt Okraku announced, following Otto Addo’s dismissal.
Speaking to 3Sports, Okraku stressed the rush to replace Addo as Ghana ramps up 2026 World Cup preparations.
Addo was axed after poor results, including losses to Austria and Germany, decided in a late-night Stuttgart meeting. The GFA now eyes local and foreign candidates, with names surfacing amid the search for stability before crucial matches.

“We will have a new coach in a week or two,” Okraku declared, highlighting the tight timeline.
