Three persons have died in a road crash involving a HOWO 371 truck near the Asenema Waterfalls on the Adukrom–Koforidua Highway.
The victims, all males, were trapped in the vehicle after the truck overturned, prompting an emergency response from personnel at the Kpong Municipal Fire Station of the Ghana National Fire Service.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, March 7, the service said firefighters carried out extrication operations and retrieved the bodies of the victims, who were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the fire service, the bodies were subsequently handed over to the Motor Traffic and Transport Department of the Ghana Police Service and transported to the morgue of the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital

The Ghana National Fire Service added that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
“Firefighters also cleared the accident scene and ensured the road was safe for motorists before returning to base”, the statement said.
