Nick was one of the famous guests at Nicole, the daughter of billionaire businessman David Lang’at, and her spectacular wedding in Limuru.
A video from the fancy event shows Nick in a good mood, wearing a checkered suit with a white shirt and tie.
He looked calm and happy as he interacted with others and even danced on the dance floor.
His beard was the most noticeable change for many Kenyans. It was a fresh look that got a lot of attention on social media, with many saying he looked very different from the clean-shaven Nick they were used to.
The lavish wedding brought together politicians, corporate tycoons, and famous people from around the world.
It was one of the most talked-about events of the year. The guest list was full of stars, including former prime minister Raila Odinga, Olympic great Eliud Kipchoge, and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
Nick, who is a lawyer, kept a relatively low profile after his father ascended to the presidency in 2022.
He has lived a quieter life than his sister, Charlene Ruto, who has been a well-known figure at public events and forums all across the country.
Nick only shows up at important family or private events. Kenyans were amused by his appearance at Nicole Lang’at’s wedding, sharing and commenting on videos of him smiling and dancing.
His sisters, Charlene and Stephanie Ruto, were also at the occasion. Charlene later shared videos of the event via her Instagram Stories.
She was draped in a colourful orange sari and she congratulated the newlyweds.
The Ruto family’s presence highlighted their close ties to the Lang’at family, one of Kenya’s wealthiest families with extensive businesses in energy, agriculture, and real estate.
