Maripoma Enterprise Limited, the contractor working on the Ofankor–Nsawam road project, have been instructed by the President John Dramani Mahama to prioritize the use of quality materials in the ongoing construction.
The directive was given during his working visit to the project site on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. He was accompanied by the Minister of Roads, Governs Agbodza.
The Ofankor–Nsawam project resumed in April 2025 after a four-month suspension over alleged non-payments.
He urged the contractors to accelerate the work to reduce the heavy traffic congestion along the stretch.
Ing. Kwabena Bimpong, the Chief Resident Engineer of the Ofankor–Nsawam Road, Rehabilitation (Dual Carriage), assured the President John Mahama, that the project would be completed by the second quarter of 2026.
