Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has stated that his team is working with a positive mentality in its preparation for its clash against Kpando Heart of Lions.
Kotoko take on Lions in Kpando on Saturday, January 31 in a Week 21 matchup in the 2025-2026 Ghana Premier League
Kotoko rank third in the standings with 45 points and trail league leaders Medeama by eight points while Kpando rank seventh.
After picking up two draws and a loss, Kotoko racked up a 3-0 win over Basake Holy Stars in its last game with striker Albert Amoah scoring and providing an assist in his debut game on his return to the club after a brief stint at Libyan side Al-Ahly Benghazi and Zito says Kotoko’s mentality ahead of Saturday’s clash is positive.

“We are going in with a present situation to go and win [irrespective of Kotoko’s struggles against Lions in Kpando]” Zito said.
