The Ministry of Youth and Sports has officially released ticket prices for the Black Stars’ upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mali, scheduled for Monday, September 8, at the Accra Sports Stadium. Sports Minister Kofi Iddie Adams unveiled the pricing structure at a press briefing.
The approved ticket categories are as follows: GH₵1,000 for VVIP seats, GH₵500 for VIP, GH₵300 for VIP Wings, GH₵200 for VIP Lower, GH₵50 for Centre Line stands, and GH₵30 for Goal Post stands.
Minister Adams described the fixture as both a high-profile contest and a valuable opportunity to generate revenue for Ghanaian football. “This is a high-profile game that we can generate revenue from, just as is done elsewhere. These prices also cater for the VVIP section,” he explained.
The announcement comes at a crucial moment as Otto Addo’s men gear up for two decisive qualifiers in the space of one week. On Thursday, September 4, the Black Stars will face Chad away in N’Djamena in a Matchday 7 clash. The squad arrived in Chad on Tuesday evening and is expected to hold its mandatory official training session at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno ahead of the fixture. Following the game, the team will fly back to Accra on Friday to continue preparations for the showdown against Mali. The Mali clash is expected to attract a capacity crowd at the Accra Sports Stadium, given its significance for Ghana’s chances of securing a spot at the 2026 World Cup.
