Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has paid a visit to Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I side Spintex Knights Basketball Club as the team gears up to represent Ghana in the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The Knights, who have won the ABL title twice in a row, are eyeing a third consecutive league title win as the playoffs kick off next week.

Moreover, the team is preparing to compete in the Road to BAL competition, with the aim of making it to the main stage of the NBA-backed continental championship next year. Earlier this year, Spintex Knights made history by becoming the first Ghanaian club to qualify for the Elite 16 stage, narrowly missing out on further progression in the West Division.
During his visit, Minister Kofi Adams interacted with the team, including team co-owner Dr. Eric Opoku-Antwi, and encouraged the players to give their all in the upcoming tournament. The Minister’s visit is seen as a boost to the team’s morale as they seek to make a mark in the BAL competition. With their sights set on success, Spintex Knights are determined to make Ghana proud on the continental stage
