Dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has announced a new project aimed at helping his unemployed fans. The initiative, called the Project 1GHC Initiative, will ask fans to contribute a small amount of money to create jobs and support each other.
In a post on social media, he stated that he has been receiving many complaints from fans who are out of work and believes this new project can help solve the problem.
“SM FANS LET’S START PAYING OUR DUES AND CREATE EMPLOYMENT OUT OF THAT. I AM GETTING TOO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT UNEMPLOYED FANS. I CAN’T DO IT ALL BUT WE ALL CAN.”
The post sparked many comments and conversations online. Fans expressed excitement and support for the idea, with some suggesting ways to make it more effective. Many proposed creating an official platform, issuing membership cards, and using mobile banking options to collect the dues.
One fan suggested linking members to job opportunities, while another recommended promoting electric cars and charging stations as part of the employment drive.
