A standoff has erupted at Odoben Senior High School in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District over a 14-year unpaid debt owed to Roga Alumetal and Engineering Service Limited, a contractor hired by the school’s Parent Teacher Association. The contractor has locked an eight-unit classroom block, disrupting academic activities.
Roga Alumetal and Engineering Service Limited stormed the campus to demand payment for their services rendered 14 years ago. School authorities have merged the affected classes with others to minimize the impact on students. The Chief Executive for the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District, the district director of education, and community leaders are meeting with school management to resolve the issue.
