The National Communications Authority has confirmed receipt of Multichoice Ghana’s response to the notice of intent to suspend its authorization. This development follows a public statement by Multichoice Ghana on September 5, 2025, and subsequent engagements with the NCA.
The Authority has secured three key clarifications from Multichoice Ghana. The company has agreed to participate fully in the Stakeholder Committee, which was directed by the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, to review DStv pricing in Ghana. Multichoice noted that the outcome of the Committee’s work would be respected at the end of its deliberations. Additionally, the company pledged to abide by due process as well as the laws of Ghana and the interests of consumers.
The first meeting of the Stakeholder Committee will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025. The NCA will provide further updates after the meeting, ensuring transparency throughout the review process. This development marks a significant step towards resolving the issue and addressing consumer concerns regarding DStv pricing in Ghana.
