Ghana’s young swimming sensation, Kelvin Abdallah, has qualified for the men’s 100m freestyle final at the 2025 African Youth Games in Luanda, Angola. The 16-year-old swimmer clocked an impressive time of 56.13 seconds, securing a spot among the top eight swimmers in the competition ¹.
Abdallah’s qualification is a significant boost for Ghana’s swimming team, which is competing in 15 disciplines at the Games. He will join his teammates Mercedes Abdallah, Oduma Agyei, and Tamba Akin Boamah, who are also representing Ghana in various swimming events.
Abdallah is competing in four events at the African Youth Games, including the 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 100m freestyle, and 100m butterfly. His qualification for the 100m freestyle final is a testament to his hard work and dedication to the sport ² ³.
