Walker, a highly respected tactician, is fondly remembered for his remarkable work with Great Olympics, where he built one of the club’s most competitive sides in recent Ghana Premier League seasons.

Over the course of his coaching career, he handled several Ghanaian clubs including Nania FC, Kpando Hearts of Lions, and Berekum Chelsea. A CAF License A holder, Walker made his mark with Nania FC, where he served as assistant and later head coach between 2005 and 2011.

He guided the club to an unforgettable triumph in the 2011 MTN FA Cup, defeating giants Asante Kotoko 1–0 in the final at the Accra Sports Stadium to secure Nania’s first major trophy.

In February 2020, Walker took charge of Great Olympics, setting ambitious targets and revitalizing the Accra-based side. Despite health setbacks that briefly kept him away, he returned to lead the team with resilience and tactical brilliance, steering them into the upper half of the league table and restoring their competitive edge.Remove AdsRemove Ads

Walker’s coaching journey was defined by his tactical discipline, eye for talent, and commitment to improving Ghanaian football. His legacy will live on in the many players and clubs he impacted throughout his career.
