The Deputy Chief of Staff, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, has emphasized the need for Ghana to scale up domestic resource mobilization to drive national development. Speaking at a high-level dialogue on domestic resource mobilization, Addo stressed that Ghana must look beyond external support and focus on harnessing its internal resources to fund development projects.
Addo highlighted the importance of increasing tax revenue, improving tax compliance, and broadening the tax base to mobilize domestic resources. She also called for effective management of the country’s resources, including natural resources, to ensure they contribute to Ghana’s development.
The Deputy Chief of Staff emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in the management of public funds, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and effectively to benefit Ghanaians. She urged stakeholders to work together to develop innovative solutions to mobilize domestic resources and drive Ghana’s development agenda.
The event, organized by the African Centre for Parliamentary Affairs, aimed to explore ways to enhance domestic resource mobilization in Ghana and promote sustainable development.
