Delegates in the Bosomtwe Constituency have overwhelmingly endorsed Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum as their preferred candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership race. The endorsement was announced at a special delegates’ conference, where over 1,000 delegates confirmed Adutwum’s candidature by popular acclamation.
Adutwum, the current Minister of Education and MP for Bosomtwe, expressed gratitude for the support, assuring delegates of his unwavering determination to represent their interests. He highlighted his achievements in the education sector and pledged to continue working for the development of the constituency.
The Regional Secretary of the NPP praised Adutwum’s track record, stating that the endorsement was a testament to his excellent service to the constituency. The delegates’ support is seen as a significant boost to Adutwum’s campaign, as he seeks to become the NPP’s flagbearer for the 2024 general elections.
The MP, who currently represents Bosomtwe in Parliament, expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic reception.
He described the show of support as a clear sign of confidence in his leadership and policies, particularly his plans to tackle poverty, improve livelihoods, and enhance healthcare and education across the country.
“I won’t let you down”, he told the delegates.“Let me assure you that I remain fully committed to uniting the New Patriotic Party. With your support, victory will be ours when I am elected flagbearer.”
