Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has finally arrived in Japan to join the Black Stars camp, completing the 22-man squad ahead of their international friendlies against Japan and South Korea. Asare, who played a crucial role in Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification, is expected to participate in the team’s final training session at the Toyota Stadium in Aichi.

The experienced goalkeeper has been instrumental in Ghana’s recent successes, keeping five clean sheets in six appearances and conceding just once. His arrival is a significant boost to the team, which is looking to finalize preparations for next year’s World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

The Black Stars will face Japan on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Toyota Stadium in Aichi, followed by a match against South Korea four days later in Seoul. These friendlies are crucial for Ghana’s build-up to the World Cup, and Asare’s presence will undoubtedly strengthen the team’s defense.
