Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, will commence their training camp on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in preparation for their final two matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The team is gearing up for crucial encounters against the Central African Republic and Comoros later this month.
According to Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, players who are active for their clubs on Saturday will join the camp on Sunday, while those playing on Sunday will report the next day. Home-based players making the squad will join the technical team and contingent in Morocco ahead of the first match.
The Black Stars will travel to Morocco to face the Central African Republic at Stade d’Honneur de Meknes on Wednesday, October 8, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 GMT. Following the away match, Ghana will return home to Accra Sports Stadium to host Comoros on Sunday, October 12, as they seek to secure qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Head coach Otto Addo has already finalized and defended his squad list for the qualifiers. With these two upcoming matches, the Black Stars aim to seal their spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
