The Ghana Black Stars are set to depart Accra for N’Djamena today, Tuesday, September 2, to take on Chad in a crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Head Coach Otto Addo will travel with all 24 invited players, who have been training in Accra to fine-tune their preparations for the must-win encounter.
The Black Stars will face Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 1 pm. Ghana currently leads Group I with 15 points from six matches, having won five and lost one, and is well-positioned for a fifth World Cup appearance. After the Chad game, the Black Stars will host Mali on September 8, before wrapping up their qualifiers in October with matches against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
