Ghanaian-American actress, director, producer, and writer, Aba Arthur, who recently assumed the role of Diaspora Ambassador for the Black Star International Film Festival (BSIFF), is set to lead a new project aimed at putting Ghanaian and African creativity on the global stage
Speaking about the initiative on Channel One TV’s Breakfast Daily, the Black Panther actor said the project, in collaboration with creative Kobina deGraft Johnson of Anibok Studios, will focus on relationships, friendships, and authentic Ghanaian experiences, while showcasing the country in a positive light to international audiences.
“This is a new project, I am so grateful and so proud to be saying that I have the honour to be working with the talented and the creative Kobina deGraft Johnson of Anibok Studios.

“This is a story that is going to highlight relationships, friendships, and it will really showcase us as Ghanaians to the rest of the world in a proper light. Please stay tuned, this is a big one,” she stated.
Emphasising her mission as Diaspora Ambassador, she highlighted the need for Ghana to leverage creative art to tell its story to the world.
“We have so much here, and it is important for me to make sure that we tell our own stories and we tell them correctly so that the rest of the world can see what is happening not only in Ghana but in Africa.”
Her appointment as Diaspora Ambassador reflects BSIFF’s vision to bridge the gap between local creatives and diaspora talent, encouraging collaboration, mentorship, and global visibility for African films
