Ghanaian gospel musician and songwriter Celestine Donkor says it would be unfair if her name is excluded when listing the top 10 artistes in Ghana, citing her longevity and continued relevance in the music industry.
Speaking on Hitz FM on Monday, February 23, 2026, she said much of her time, resources and energy are invested in music, and it gladdens her to know she remains relevant after two decades.
“It gladdens my heart that I’m still here and I’m still relevant after 20 years. I mean, not to say I’m singing my own praises, but we can’t talk of top ten artistes in Ghana without my name, that would be very unfair to me,” she said.

According to her, staying relevant for such a long time is a blessing she does not take for granted.
The “Agbebolo” hitmaker also noted that her focus is not on fame but on the impact of her music on listeners.
“It’s not just about being famous; it’s about the impact. People are still getting blessed. People still want the songs I release; they still want to praise and worship with them. It’s a blessing,” she said.
She concluded by acknowledging the significant growth and changes in the music industry over the past 20 years.
