Deputy ranking member of Ghana’s Parliamentary
Sports Committee, Michael Aidoo, has called for proper management for the Borteyman Sports Complex
He said this in after the Sports Committee toured the Accra Sports Stadium and the Borteyman Complex to assess the state of the facilities.
After calling on education institutions to enforce heavy punishment to schools and students who cause damage to sports assets and cause disruptions during senior high school sports events, the Member of Parliament for Oforikrom Constituency bemoaned the lack of good management for the Bortyeman Complex. “During our visitation, we realized that the Borteyman Complex is superb, it’s a good investment except to say that there’s not proper management for it so you get there and you realize that there’s no proper security.”

“We spoke to the management of the (National) Sports Authority to initiate action to get proper management for the Borteyman [Complex]” Mike Aidoo said.

The Borteyman Sports Complex was completed in 2024 and hosted a bulk of events during the 2023 Africa Games.
