The Member of Parliament for the Krowor Constituency has reaffirmed her commitment to supporting constituents through targeted business and social interventions, emphasizing that leadership must be rooted in empathy and close engagement with the people.

Speaking at a business support initiative in the constituency, the MP noted that the kind of assistance given to residents varies based on their needs, adding that the vision of former President John Dramani Mahama, whom she described as having good intentions for the country, should inspire party followers to extend similar compassion to their constituents.

According to her, she makes a conscious effort to personally engage with beneficiaries whenever support is being distributed, stressing that development is most effective when leaders remain close to the people they serve.

She disclosed that a larger business support exercise was undertaken in December 2025, during which over 400 people benefited. The current initiative, she explained, continues that effort, with a particular focus on informal sector workers who form a significant portion of the constituency’s workforce.

“The informal workers are many, and support should not be limited to only those who work in offices,” she stated.

The MP acknowledged the role of partner organizations, including the Care and Development Organization and Rahma Global Society, whose collaboration made the initiative possible. She expressed hope that the items and financial support provided would help beneficiaries improve their livelihoods and create sustainable income opportunities.

As part of the initiative, businesswomen and entrepreneurs received items such as glass sieves for trading, hairdryers, deep freezers, sewing machines, as well as cash support for education and transportation to convey the equipment home.

She assured constituents of her continued dedication to meeting their needs gradually, from the young to the elderly, while encouraging them to also play their part in community development.

“The love and support the people of Krowor show me mean no sacrifice is too big for me to make for them,” she said, pledging to partner with both local stakeholders and national leaders to advance the interests of the constituency.
