Communications Director of Kpando Heart of Lions, Eric Eli Adzie, insists his team remain firmly in the title race despite sitting seventh in the Ghana Premier League.
Heart of Lions have endured a difficult campaign so far, collecting 27 points from 20 matches.
Adzie expressed confidence that with consistent performances, his side can close the gap on league leaders Medeama, who currently top the table with 43 points.
“The Ghana Premier League has taught us some bitter lessons these few weeks and we are not ruling ourselves out of contention because the moment we play in the tournament we should be playing for the ultimate.

“So in as much as Medeama are actually runaway leaders , I think anything can happen in football. If you look at the number of matches left, anything at all can happen.
“Clubs can falter, clubs can stumble and others can also overtake them. So we are not out of the title race yet.” He said.
Heart of Lions now faces a formidable task as they prepare to host league leaders Asante Kotoko at the Kpando Sports Stadium on January 31.
