The suspects; Timileyin Fakunle, aged 30; Begun Adedeji, aged 31; and Olamide Roheemot, aged 28 were arrested on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
All three suspects were arrested in separate apartments.
Police say a search conducted at the apartments of the three suspects led to the retrieval of sophisticated electronic gadgets, SIM boxes, and several assorted SIM cards believed to have been used for the alleged fraudulent activities.

During interrogation, the suspects mentioned two other accomplices, identified as Mike and Kpalumi, who are currently at large. They further indicated that their alleged leader, identified as Tomy, a Chinese National who remotely controls the SIM boxes, is presently at large.
According to the police, efforts are underway to liaise with the National Communications Authority (NCA) to assist in the safe removal and technical examination of the exhibits retrieved from the apartments to aid ongoing investigations.
The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue. The Accra Regional Police Command cautioned the general public against renting or subletting premises to unknown persons without proper background checks.
“Property owners and residents are advised to be vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the Police,” the statement noted.

The Command also assured the public of its continued commitment to combating cyber and telecommunication-related crime.
